Giving back and bringing hope
To date, we have provided 15,000 food hampers to those in need.
As we strive to be as sustainable as possible, the food hampers are made using fully biodegradable packaging. Hampers cost approximately £10 each and contain essential non-perishable food items and toiletries such as pasta, soup, bread, rice, tinned vegetables and tinned fruit.
We have always aimed to include high quality goods that can be used to make multiple meals to ensure each item stretches that little bit further, regularly consulting with our charity partners to ensure we are including items that hamper recipients will find useful.
Each hamper includes around 15 items with all products purchased from a national wholesaler who provides the items at their cost price (i.e. below trade price) thereby ensuring each pound of spend goes a long way to helping those in need.
Hampers also contains a handmade Diwali card created by the charity Manav Sadhna via their ‘Earn N Learn Project’ which is then handwritten at our events, hoping to spread some joy to recipients.
Earn N Learn serves vulnerable children by supporting their education (learning) while using the platform of arts and crafts to enable them to earn for a few hours a day in a healthy and loving environment (earning). The children make products from handmade paper, which helps supplement the earning of the child’s family and prevents the parents from sending their children for work, which would require them to drop out of school. Through this platform the children also develop life skills, work ethic, and financial literacy in a safe and child-friendly space.
