We are humbled at Diwali Basket Brigade to be able to work with a diverse range of charity partners whom we support. These amazing charities nominate families and individuals to receive vital food hampers across Birmingham, London, Leicester and Manchester.
We could not do the incredible work we do without them and feel privileged to have built long lasting relationships with so many other brilliant charities and organisations.
Walsall Housing Group
The Midland’s based social housing group nominate families and tenants who are living on the food poverty line. WHG is the largest HA in the UK.
Birmingham City Mission
A Christian charity helping the needy and marginalised of the city. They run projects bringing practical help and hope to the young and old, the homeless and people struggling to make ends meet.
Kids Out
A charity that gives disadvantaged children positive experiences to support them with onward integration into society.
Ronald McDonald House
Provide a free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families while their child is in high-acuity care in hospital.
Handsworth Association of Schools
This organisation enhances the life chances of children and young people by bringing together communities and schools in Handsworth, Birmingham.
St Basils
St Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, to enable them to find and keep a home, grow their confidence, develop their skills, increase opportunities and prevent homelessness.
Food Bank Aid
This charity uniquely distributes food, toiletries and household goods to 30+ food banks across North London and Hertfordshire supporting 20,000 people each week.
City Harvest
This charity aims to reduce food insecurity and protect the planet by diverting quality, nutritious, edible surplus food from waste and redistributing it to those facing food poverty.
West Hampstead Food Bank
The West Hampstead Community Food Hub started at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, supporting over 140 local households each week with food parcels.
Emerge, Fareshare Greater Manchester
FareShare Greater Manchester was established in October 2008, with the mission of addressing food poverty and reducing food waste in and around Greater Manchester.
Childrens Activity Farm Trust
This charity provides a variety of free programmes for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the Northwest, children who through no fault of their own miss out on the normalities of childhood.
Coalition in Kindness
Help families in food poverty due to mental health, illness or social detachment, by giving support in the form of food donations across Manchester.
Homeless Aid
Homeless Aid UK are dedicated to ending homelessness, by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change. They work at grass root levels with the homeless and supply food hampers and clothing to the growing number of people living in poverty.
Oadby Food Bank
This vital food bank provides food to families in need, in and around the Oadby area of Leicester.
Wesly Hall Food Pantry
Wesley Hall Pantry in Leicester opened in 2022 to help build food security and community in the Spinney Hill area.
Fosse Mutual Aid Association
A volunteer group that has been running an emergency food bank, supporting around 150 families per week with top up food parcels with a focus on nutritional balance including fresh fruit and veg and world foods appropriate to users.
The Bridge Homelessness to Hope
The Bridge Homelessness to Hope is a charity in Leicester that provides support and advocacy to anyone over the age of 18 who is experiencing homelessness. This includes those who are rough sleeping, sofa surfing, and people who are in temporary or unsuitable accommodation.
